- National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) members have a long-standing commitment to equipping Americans with the nutritional guidance they need to make informed food and beverage choices. Since 2005, NAMA’s FitPick® has provided valuable information for millions of Americans in schools, universities, all four branches of the US Armed Forces and workplaces throughout the country.
- NAMA supports public policies that ensure consumers continue to enjoy access to food and beverage options of their choice. From a business growth perspective, NAMA supports the continued economic vitality of the industry, its suppliers and employees.
- NAMA is also the trade organization for micro markets, or unattended retail, which is one of the most innovative developments in this channel. Micro markets are self-serve kiosks or small retail locations in workplaces, universities, hotels and other environments featuring consumer traffic flow. These locations feature fresh and packaged goods served through self checkouts and cashless readers. Explosive growth is expected in this segment. More than 9,000 micro markets are in operation today, and 30,000 more are expected to open in the next 5 years.
